Following the launch of the new Visit North Yorkshire website, the destination marketing team introduced our hero campaign for 2025, “Find Your Escape”, building on the success of the 2024 campaign while broadening both its themes and target audience.
Running from April to October 2025, the campaign aimed to inspire younger couples and affluent families to book short breaks and holidays in North Yorkshire. Activity included:
- Social media advertising, incluidng influencer collaborations
- Out-of-home advertising
- New inspirational video and photography
- YouTube advertising
- Google PPC campaigns
Striking new photography was commissioned to showcase the beauty and character of North Yorkshire. These images were used across all campaign activity, helping to create a strong and consistent visual identity. Alongside this, short inspirational videos highlighted a wide range of partners and experiences across the region, offering audiences a glimpse at what a short break in North Yorkshire could encompass.
Outdoor advertising played a key role in July, with placements at major train stations and city centres including London King’s Cross, Manchester, and Newcastle, generating over 5.5 million views. Complementing this, targeted advertising on YouTube using the campaign videos reached relevant audiences, reinforcing the message alongside paid search campaigns on Google, together generating more than 714,000 impressions in total and driving traffic directly to the Visit North Yorkshire website.
Social media activity further brought the campaign to life through a series of organic and paid posts, delivering over 319,000 views. Collaborations with popular influencers added further reach with more than 61,000 views, and introducing North Yorkshire to new audiences who may not have previously considered the region.
