Partner update Q3 2026

Blog posted:

14 October 2026

For many businesses, a Visit North Yorkshire partnership starts with a profile on visitnorthyorkshire.com. However, that's just one part of the support available.

Throughout the year, our team works to showcase partners through website content, social media activity, influencer campaigns, PR opportunities, travel trade engagement, content creation and destination marketing campaigns.

Each quarter we'll be sharing some of the added value you can benefit from as a partner, alongside practical ways you can maximise your visibility and make the most of these opportunities. The data in this report covers July - September 2026.

Visit North Yorkshire website

Keeping your profile up-to-date doesn't just help visitors discover your business on visitnorthyorkshire.com; it also gives our team the information we need when selecting businesses for blogs, itineraries, seasonal campaigns, media visits and press opportunities, maximising your return from your partnership.

Becoming AI Ready

Visitor search habits are changing quickly, with more people using AI-powered tools and trip planners to research destinations and experiences.

During 2026 we've introduced enhancements to help partner information be more easily understood by AI search and travel planning platforms, helping your business information reach potential customers beyond our website.

Currently, only 12% of partner profiles have been updated to be AI-ready. To benefit from these improvements, partners should complete a full Business Profile Update Form.

Social media

When Visit North Yorkshire launched in 2024, we inherited audiences from Discover Yorkshire Coast and Visit Harrogate. Since then, we've continued to grow both channels while broadening awareness of the wider county, increasing our Facebook audience from 20,000 to 35,000 followers, and Instagram from 13,000 to 24,000 followers.

Our content is driven by themes such as history, food and drink, and the great outdoors, alongside the changing seasons, key events, school holidays and campaign activity. To give your business the best chance of being featured, keep your profile up to date with current opening times, contact details and imagery, add events and experiences as early as possible.

Partners featured included Dewars Hotel, North Yorkshire Moors Railway, North Yorkshire Water Park, The Forbidden Corner and Tan Hill Inn. Influencer content generated 542,000 views, 19,500 likes and 11,800 saves, while digital and OOH advertising generated 2.5 million impressions and 25,000 website clicks across our key visitor audiences.

Scarborough 400: To celebrate 400 years since the discovery of Scarborough’s spa waters, we delivered a summer-long campaign featuring a deckchair trail with accompanying information boards, digital advertising with family publishers, PR and influencer activity.
