Tourism and hospitality businesses across North Yorkshire are invited to join a new series of free marketing workshops tailored specifically to the region. The sessions will share practical, powerful marketing techniques to help businesses make the most of emerging opportunities, attract more visitors and increase the value of each visit.
Visit North Yorkshire is supporting the programme, which has been created by Susan Briggs of The Tourism Network and funded through the UK Shared Prosperity Fund via the York & North Yorkshire Combined Authority. Susan has a track record of helping tourism business grow and specialises in providing practical advice for low cost, easy marketing techniques anyone can use.
Running throughout January and February in Bedale, Stokesley, Filey, Skipton and Clapham, the workshops will offer practical, up‑to‑date advice for visitor‑facing businesses. Topics include attracting new audiences, encouraging visitors to stay longer and spend more, making the most of current tourism trends, building customer loyalty and using storytelling to stand out on social media and drive revenue. Each session will also feature an update from Visit North Yorkshire and time for valuable networking with other local businesses.
The workshops are open to all accommodation providers, activity companies, attractions, food and drink venues and retail businesses. Attendance is free, and businesses can register online for the session most relevant to them.
