The end of 2025 saw the return of our popular Christmas in North Yorkshire Campaign. Following a successful first county-wide Christmas campaign last year, Christmas in North Yorkshire returned, running from October to December 2025.
The campaign aims to promote North Yorkshire as the ideal destination for enjoying the festive season, promoting Christmas markets and events, as well as festive activities in our attractions and market towns.
The campaign featured eleven campaign partners and new campaign creative, designed by RAW Creative. A range of marketing activities supported the campaign:
- Out of Home advertising
- Social Media
- Radio and Spotify Advertising
- Video advertising
- A printed Christmas Guide
We had outdoor advertising, running from the end of October through to December, at key city centre locations with heavy footfall, and within easy travel of North Yorkshire. Over 840,000 people are estimated to have seen these adverts.
We created a printed Christmas guide and distributed 20,000 to key locations within a 2-hour drive of North Yorkshire from October half-term onwards.
A campaign video was created using archive footage from previous years. The footage was woven together using new footage captured of “Father Christmas” to add a storyline and narrative to the video. A longer video, as well as three shorter videos, were captured and used across various platforms. The video received over 252,000 views on YouTube, over 433,000 impressions on Google Ads, and 187,000 impressions on Spotify advertising.
We created a range of content on social media, including paid and organic posts. This included videos and photography that was complemented by web content on visitnorthyorkshire.com. This content gained over 2 million views over the course of the campaign.
